I had a '69 1.1 SR, also in San Diego. Saw a few Rallye Kadetts like this one back in the day and was jealous. The handling of that car was absolutely amazing, I had Michelin XZX tires and it took turns like no other. The only thing that spoiled mine was that it was a 3 speed automatic, so it had trouble finding the right gear on uphills in our local mountains. A four speed would have been great.

In... '87-'89, there was a Bradley parked down the street from our house. My Dad asked me what kind of car I thought it was. "Corvette!" Was my first answer- and he said "But look at the exhaust,"! That's not a corvettes exhaust, I thought. It almost looked like... wait... what? "It's a VW?!??!?!?" "It's a VW 'kit' car!" ... "What's a 'kit car'?"..... A "kit car" is something no one builds anymore... like hot rods.

Sadly Edelbrock is not the same company it was greatly once! I like in Torrance California and have been a Edelbrock fan since a kid from my boat to my 2016 supercharged 2650 supercharged camaro I fell the company has lost its roots. I guess the heritage is gone and now it’s just a name.
